The project "Entre Mãos: The invisibility of Quilombola Communities" was created during a mentorship led by UX para Minas Pretas and Zup Innovation. Over five weeks, 20 Black women developed five projects to support Black lives. Entre Mãos specifically helps quilombola communities sell their products more widely, increasing their visibility and celebrating their historical and cultural importance while fighting their invisibility in Brazilian society.

Entre Mãos is a digital platform designed to empower quilombola communities by connecting them with broader markets and sharing their stories with the public. The project started with in-depth research and interviews with representatives from five communities across Brazil, uncovering common challenges such as limited access to water, deforestation, educational gaps, low internet connectivity, and the undervaluation of local history and traditions.
Despite these obstacles, quilombola women emerge as strong leaders, driving both artisanal production and the preservation of cultural heritage. The platform’s MVP (Minimum Viable Product) is a website complemented by an Instagram account, serving as a space for storytelling, direct sales of artisanal products, mentorship, and workshops.
Entre Mãos not only facilitates commerce but also fosters a sense of community, identity, and pride by making the ancestral legacy of quilombolas tangible to a wider audience.
